Though they look like the perfect young couple in love, this was the one and only time Elvis and Sophia Loren met! The actress came across Presley eating his lunch in the Paramount Studios cafeteria and had to introduce herself. She sat on his lap, tussled his hair, and gave him a kiss. Elvis was one of Loren’s biggest fans, and said that he had seen every one of her movies.

In 1969, Robin Williams was a seventeen-year-old high school senior. He excelled in school in every sense; he played soccer, wrestled, and became the class president. At the time of this photo, he was in Redwood High School in California. He was voted ‘least likely to succeed’ and ‘funniest’ by his classmates.

Here’s Len Dawson smoking a cigarette – a Fresca – during the first ever Super Bowl halftime. Times were different back in 1967, and it wasn’t strange for an athlete to smoke. If a player was caught doing this nowadays, there would be uproar! Dawson went on to lose in the second half, the Kansas City Chiefs were beaten by the Green Bay Packers 35 to 10

A rock icon, a pop legend, and an iconic venue all in one frame – now that’s what we call rare. The late king of pop Michael Jackson and the lead vocalist of the iconic rock band Aerosmith, Steven Tyler, enjoying what we can only assume a wild night out at the world famous nightclub Studio 54 in New York.

Catherine Bach was a child star as her first role was one of the kids in The Sound of Music. Then she got her big break when she found out that they were looking for a Dolly Parton type for a new tv series called The Dukes of Hazzard, and the rest was history. And in this rare photo, we see Catherine Bach wearing pink, skimpy daisy dukes just like her character in the hit television series. Better than Jessica Simpson, right?

The lead singer and songwriter of the legendary band Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant, was slightly superstitious and inspired by folklore, both of which influenced her artistry and songwriting immensely. However, a bird flying into his hand during a packed live show? You cannot make this stuff up, and this is still one of the most talked-about photos of Plant ever.

Born Boston, Massachusetts in 1931, Leonard Nimoy, 100% human and not half Vulcan, rose to fame with his portrayal of Spock in Star Trek: The Original Series. Shortly after, his name became synonymous with the character to the extent that the character was even heavily featured in his autobiographies. Although he was involved in a myriad of projects, his performance in Star Trek is dubbed as his most important and revered work.

Carrie Fisher was a Hollywood icon and an exceptional writer who was most famous for her role as Princess Leia in Star Wars. After the first film in the 1970s, Fisher reprised her role in six more movies in the series and became an international phenomenon. Despite much success, fame, and fortune, Carrie had her demons, one of them being her struggle with bipolar disorder. According to Fisher, her condition pushed her to self-medicate regularly to cope with everything and function. Carrie was one of the many big names we lost in 2016, and even her farewell was as unique as she was because her ashes were placed in a giant Prozac pill urn. What a legend.

Maurice Tillet was a Russian-born French man and a professional wrestler – he was a huge box office draw in the 40’s and won the world heavyweight championship twice! He was diagnosed with acromegaly when he turned 17 and became a wrestler rather than the lawyer he wanted to be – the condition stopped him from doing so. He is thought to be the inspiration for the animated character Shrek.
