"The Morning After" is the theme song to "The Poseidon Adventure" movie. Saw that movie in the theater when it came out.

I remember when that song was all over the radio, over and over.

The only time I ever bought an album based on the artwork, I ended up with Boston's Third Stage. Somehow, I'd managed to miss their earlier work entirely, so Third Stage was a real blast.

The only time I ever bought an album based on the artwork, I ended up with Boston's Third Stage. Somehow, I'd managed to miss their earlier work entirely, so Third Stage was a real blast.

I wouldn't want to pay full retail just for the artwork but I have paid $.50 to $3.00 solely for art.

OK. If anyone had asked me to name a tune by Chabrier, I would have drawn a blank. "España" is an example of music that you know without knowing that you know it. Instantly recognizable, but for no good reason. Great piece, though.

Ravel's Bolero is hated by many, conductors and musicians included. I love it. It takes a simple phrase and repeats it, over and over, beginning with a single instrument and culminating in a crashing finale involving the whole orchestra. I have dozens of versions, but this will be the first time I've played this particular recording.

The Holy Grail of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal. I don't play the vinyl very often. This is my recommendation for National Record Store Day purchase.
I've put this one through the meat grinder and it still looks pretty good.
