Recapping SX-950

C25,26 (0.22uF/35V,Electrolytic) CSZA 22K 35

505-MKP20.22/100/5

667-ECQ-V1H224JL3(obsolete)

Why the capacitance change for C10? It's 470, but the link is 680.
I am not sure it may have been because the 470uf was not available. Increasing this cap to 680uf would not hurt it is used for filtering.
But of course if you want to use a 470uf it is the speced part.

My current (original) caps are measuring around 350uF at the moment.

Would 647-UHE2A471MHD be a suitable replacement? I'm not an expert at picking replacements, but I have those particular ones in stock!

I have a few 647-UPW2A471MHD, also.

They're both 470uF, 100V, but I'll be damned if I know what the difference is or if they will work here. That's why I like to get verification!

The diff between the UHE and the UPW is the UHE are long life these are usually a step up from the UPW for power supply filter caps

647-LKG1H222MESCCK AWR-101 C12: 2200uF 35v ACH-039

...is not in stock. What would you recommend in its place? I do have several UPW1V222MHD6 in my inventory, or would I be just as well to leave the originals intact?

I'm going in to clean the speaker switches in my SX-950, and as many know you're deep enough that if you have the parts on hand, you might as well restore it electronically while you're in there.

I have a late '77 receiver, and my boards are AWH-050-C, AWF-011-B, AWR-101-C, AE-066-D. Do these suffixes indicate that I will need to compare part-by-part that the BOM here matches my boards? I do not see any revised schematics on-line to lead me there either.

TIA

A KEMET List of most of the Pioneer films:
These are all 5mm leg spacing.

80-MMK5104M50J01TR18, 0.1uf
80-MMK5564M50J02TR18, 0.56uf
80-MMK5224J50J01L4, 0.22uf
80-MMK5474K50J01L4, 0.47uf
80-MMK5334M50J01L4, 0.33
80-SMR5105J50J0616, 1.00uf

This is the list I'm using now, they are all poly stacked film as opposed to the wound style. All are 5mm lead spacing.

80-F612JF104J063L, 0.1uF
80-F612JF224J063A, 0.22uF
80-F612JG474J063C, 0.47uF
80-F612JM564K063C, 0.56uF
80-F612JM684J063A, 0.68uF

The 1uF is not stocked in a stacked film, I have used the PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) cap listed above and they sound good (better than a polyester or electrolytic), but are very pricey at $3.21 apiece.

I am working on the protection board of my SX-950 and want to replace all of the transistors. The preferred replacement for Q1 and Q2 (and even Q3 and Q4) is listed as KSC1845, which I do not have and were out of stock at my usual source. Any others that will work? I do have a small supply of both KSC2383 and KSC945. So how about either of those --any experience? Thanks.

The 2SC869s need to go. The KSC2383Y is a safe bet for QA1/Q2. The KSC945s should be a safe bet for Q3/Q4.

Not a SX-950, but I''ve replaced the 2SC869s in SA-9500s protection circuits with the 2383 with no problems.
