Hi All,
Recently found in my garage a vintage 1979 Pioneer KP 575 car audio cassette player which looks complete and in a quite nice condition. I would like to restore it to use in my Triumph classic car as it takes a minimum of space. Just needs cleaning and have the belt changed. I have uploaded a service manual from "the military Wireless Workshop" and started disassembling.
Unfortunately, one of the channels is dead (R) and, not being a technician whatsoever, I do not know where to look to fix the problem. One of the small resistors in the amplifier must have blown up due to a mistake in connecting the power-in (common neg wire for both power-in and channel-outputs).
I have a schematic circuit diagram, but I'm afraid it looks rather chinese to me.
Could anybody help me spotting the fault and explain how to cure it.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Hugh.
