Favorite Five Albums When I Was A Teenager

5 is to few, I know I listened to a lot more and it's hard to pick.

Humble Pie - Smokin'

The Who - Quadrophenia

Jethro Tull - Stand Up

Yes - Close to the Edge

Traffic - On The Road

It changed very often of course but those ones were always at the top of the pile - still have 'em, still play 'em. Hard to only pick five though!

Oof...almost embarrassed to admit it, but these were the main spins circa 1978:

Supertramp, Crime of the Century
REO Speedwagon, Live You Get What You Play For
Cheap Trick, Live at Budokan
Lynyrd Skynyrd, One More From The Road
Jefferson Airplane, Flight Log

But then I remember how much fun we had at the swimming holes and campsites while these played out of someone's 6x9 three way car speakers and it's all good!

Metallica 'Master of Puppets'
Judas Priest 'Screaming For Vengeance'
ACDC 'Back in Black'
Ozzy Osbourne 'Diary of a Madman'
Black Sabbath 'Paranoid'

Blue Oyster Cult - Extraterrestrial Live
Iron Maiden - Killers
Judas Priest - Unleashed in the East
Rush - 2112
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath

Actually Killers was my favorite Iron Maiden. I suspect I should put Metallica Kill Em All in there also.

Alphabetically:

Beatles - Rubber Soul
Dave Brubeck - Take Five
Deep Purple - Machine Head
Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced
Moody Blues - Days of Future Passed

They are all still in rotation here.

Teenager, on eight-track:

Guess Who - American Woman
Credence Clearwater Revival - Cosmo's Factory
Led Zeppelin I and II
Best of the Bee Gees
Pet Sounds

Yes, that is six, I know. I cheated because I like LZ I and II equally. Take your choice.

I guess since I made a disagreeable wisecrack, I should probably play along.

Prior to, say, the age of 18? Just off the top of my head, I guess . . .

Cream, Disraeli Gears
Hendrix, Band of Gypsys
The Beatles, White Album
The Kinks, Preservation
Allman Brothers, Live at the Fillmore
Post all you want. I only look at your avatar. Didn't realize you wrote anything at all. AOR fm was so good then I didn't buy a lot of records, but these come to mind.
Humble Pie - Rockin The Filmore
Beatles - Abbey Road
Alice Cooper - School's Out
Joe Walsh - The Smokered You Get The Playered You Drink
Jethro Tull - Aqualung

They all sounded great on my Sylvania all in one
