Ha! A chisel, neat - at least you can use that. I found a vial full of 30+ year old speed in the L40's I bought a few years ago.

I wonder if speed gets better with age.....?

Nope, it does not. The whole 'bus jumping the gap in the freeway' thing - it was questionable then, but now it's just plain silly.

I got a sub from my neighbor and it rattled when playing but I figured the woofer was loose maybe. But when I opened it up a screwdriver was stuck to the magnet and what was vibrating.

Back in the day my wife and I were in the Bay area and visited "Zilch Labs." Zilch was demonstrating one of his creations and I told him I heard a slight "buzz" or "rattle" in one. He never heard it and passed it off as me "hearing things."

The next year I got an e-mail from him. It seems that when he opened the cabinet, he found a loose screw that that stuck on the woofer magnet and was rattling along with the woofer. He never doubted my hearing after that.

I dug out these L26s that I picked up a few years ago. They're ready for foams.

I remember when I was unloading them right after I bought them there was something loose in one.

It wasn't until now that I opened the box and found my new Swedish wood chisel.

ID bet whoever lost it was looking for a good while...
