Stepdown Transformer for Mcintosh

Hello, Everyone

My country current is 240-220V, and I already bought Mcintosh MX110z and Mcintosh MC240,
now I also bought one big Stepdown transformer 1500VA to use with these Mcintosh, it can select output with 110V or 115V (Toyozumi brand)

and I try to tab with 2 choice and measure with volt meter it's result is 109V and 119V
my question is 109V or 119V is best for Mcintosh (117V) ? and will not damage to my all Mcintosh and still have better sound?

please look at to my stepdown, it have input with 220 and 240 VAC
and I can select output with 110 and 115 VAC

but when I tap with 240 VAC output will be 108-110 VAC
but when I tatp with 220 VAC output will be 119-120 VAC

I still want your opinion

Yes.

A/C will occasionally go as high as 125 VAC here. Not an issue with any Mc in my sig.

As others have said....It seems that power in the USA is 120V for the most part, if you look on the back of the older Mc gear its says 117VAC, the newer stuff like my C48 for example says 120VAC.

In NZ here our power is 230 +/- 6%, I am not sure what the standard is in USA, but its probably similar.

+/- 10% is perfectly acceptable for equipment. I deal with having to provide 120V power for touring acts which come through NZ and they always ask for 120VAC, if its getting down near 115VAC they don't like it want us to tap the transformer up as close to 120VAC as possible...

So long and the short of it is, as close to 120VAC as possible...

I mostly run my tube stuff on step down trans. I have one of those TV isotap isolation/direct trans that will output 3 diff voltages. The mc240 has a switch that let's you choose 117 or 125, I set for 125 and run it off the wall voltage (usually avg 124v) The mx110 I run into the "med" plug off the TV Isotap which is about 115v. I run my td124 on 110v "low" plug and the motor runs cooler. The mx power trans seems to heat up less quickly when it's running at 115v. Every little bit helps on those MX110Z
