What audio splitter ?

Hi there :) First of all I want to say I'm a total noob regarding audio gear and naming conventions, but hopefully I'll be clear enough. I have two portable stereo speakers(connected with 3.5mm aux cable) and want to be able to play the left channel of music on one speaker, and the right channel on the other. I'm pretty sure I need a splitter which splits the incoming stereo into two mono(left and right) outputs.
Here is an advanced scheme I draw to make myself clearer:

How is this part called ? What do I have to look for in shops ? I know there are also splitters which have two stereo outputs, I want to make sure I don't get that one.

Without knowing the speaker connectors, I'm going to guess you need one of these: https://www.cablestogo.com/product/...mm-stereo-male-to-two-rca-stereo-male-y-cable

And two of these: https://www.cablestogo.com/product/03181/6in-value-series-one-rca-female-to-two-rca-male-y-cable

Of course, these are just a couple examples to show the general type.

The first one listed plugs into the phone and splits out left and right. The second one listed then splits each of the left and rights into two connections on each speaker.

Thanks guys :)
The speaker has 3.5mm jack input, so I think what crazy-in-az recommended is what I need.
Do you believe these cable1, cable2, cable3 do the same thing ? I can't understand from the description if they do what the one above does or have two separate stereo outputs.

those are headphone splitters so it won't separate right and left channels, each female plug will have both right and left coming out

Thanks guys :)

Then addition to what I listed in post #3, get two like this too: https://www.cablestogo.com/product/...-stereo-male-to-two-rca-stereo-female-y-cable.

In the picture, item 1 is the first cable in post #3, item 2 is the second cable in post #2, item 3 is the cable above. White on white doesn't show up very well so I used blue and red to show the branches.

Of course, if you have soldering iron and can use it you could make a splitter without all the adaptations in the middle.

Yikes, they don't make a splitter that does this in one step?

It's a rather unusual splitting requirement.

Sure, you can almost certainly find a 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRS Y splitter, or 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TS Y splitter, but neither of those do what the OP wants.

The OP wants/needs TRS connection to each speaker, but the TRS to carry left only or right only on both T and R.

You need something that will split the signal into two mono outputs. As dnpainting has pointed out those adapters simply give you two stereo outputs instead of one.

I'm in eastern Europe, so I'll look for the cables in the local shops here, or buy from something like aliexpress if I don't find them. I wouldn't buy from the US because I'll probably pay 10x the amount just for the shipping.

The Hosa cable, recommended by crazy-in-az does this too ? Or do I need the last RCA set recommended by you ?

What I'm trying to connect is two bluetooth JBL Charge 2+ speakers, which also have aux cable input. As of Charge 3 you can do this directly via bluetooth, from an app. Another thing I could get, I think, is some kind of bluetooth splitter, but I'd rather stick with cables.

This cable https://www.amazon.com/Hosa-YMM-261-Stereo-Breakout-Cable/dp/B000068O5H and this cable https://www.cablestogo.com/product/...mm-stereo-male-to-two-rca-stereo-male-y-cable do the same thing, just different connectors on the split end. I have not seen a 3.5mm TS to 3.5mm TRS cable to make the Hosa cable do the same functionally as the last option I listed.

Such cables seem readily available in 1/4" size on the splitter end. For example, one like this http://hosatech.com/product/ymp-137/ and two like this http://hosatech.com/product/cmp-100/

I have the JBL Charge 2+ and you can connect 2 via bluetooth, let me look at my manual for it

Well, I thought you could but I was incorrect.

Yes, that's correct.

My order arrived today, I bought the cheapest products available, to see if the combination works. The jack -> RCA cable and the two RCA -> jack stereo adapter costed 1.2$.

Aaand it works like expected, and the sound actually isn't too bad for the 1$ gear :music:
Thanks guys for the help !
