The other Slayer!!! WOW:eek2:
I know, right? Crazy. I bought that album thinking it was the Slayer that I'd read about in Kerrang Magazine who we would all came to know a bit later in '83. The San Antonio Slayer beat them to the punch by a few months...in the end it's all cool. It's a good album and it's worth a bunch of money.

I guess this can be classed as metal...I mean what do you class Yngwie as? His early stuff definitely had that metal riff & lyric thing going on.

Side One is actually great Viking metal (is that a term?), and when you have a young JSS singing, what can be any worse? Man, the opening riff to I'll see the light...............back then it raised the hairs, and still does! The toned down riff on Disciples! Paganini styleismo on Anguish and Blackmore style riff starting On The Run Again. Just a great all round Malmsteen album, which was just about bettered by Trilogy, IMO.

Shit cover though!

The color of the vinyl on the turntable is sooo relaxing. I don't know which to focus on more: the LP or the artwork on its jacket.

P.S.: Which album by Krokus is stationed at the bottom of the stack of cassettes in front of the jacket of the Mastodon LP?
It’s metal rendez - vous , my favourite Krokus album. I also have it on clear vinyl.
Cheers

I also recall seeing it in a mag, possibly Circus, back in the day. The mail order ad had this Slayer, Witchfinder General, Venom, Metallica, and a couple of other underground bands of the time.

Very cool!
