Unlike in the Classic Rock Era, today there are no vinyl based monopolies on creativity, production, and distribution. I was watching an interview with Maynard Keenan of Tool and he mentioned if a new release was coming out and it involved vinyl, the release date would be pushed out months.
Indie artists with limited numbers of albums to press, are pushed to the back of the queue.
