Around here, the -242 albums are
difficult to come by, yet the 12ers are common. I would say my favorite 'bum of theirs is Front By Front.

Man, I know all about Marantz and Pioneer looks and performance from that era, But Kenwood had it going on with the best of them. And they usually a bit cheaper. At least at the beginning. Awesome stuff!

I miss my KT 7500 and KA 8100. They were superb especially after a refreshing.!

1989 was the last of their hard (good) output. A local record store owner feels the same way. My favorites are No Comment and Endless Riddance.
