As many of you here are major Freddie King fans, you may want to seek out a copy of this month's Vintage Guitar Magazine for an excellent article on Freddie's ES 345.
It contains Leon Russel stories, the use of this guitar today and alot more.
As one of the most iconic sounding electric guitars in history the article can really fill in some blanks in blues and guitar history.
Not to mention Vintage Guitar has more worthwhile new album reviews every month (dozens) than anything currently in print... alot more.

If it's good enough for Dwight Yoakam then it's gotta be good. He has a bunch of those Epiphones in various configurations.

A few years ago I tried to win one, signed by Yoakam...they haven't notified me yet.

I have not seen that Sheherezade. But then, there are so many of them...like tribbles.

Found it at a thrift years ago and it's the first time spinning it. Definitely a nice sounding London record. I enjoyed it quite a bit having never heard it before. However, as she hit the high notes I heard crackling in the right channel. I was surprised so the pressing may be worn too much or I'm hearing limitations in my system. I'll try it on #2 and hear if I get the same results.

What's your take on the recording, understanding of course that the YouTube version may have a different source than Prestiege L.P. 7167

first off, the sax play is just superb. i like the organ play as well, it reminds me of being a kid and going into pipe organ pizza and listening to hall wale on the organ wile we ate pizza and swayed back and forth. love it. if i thought for one second i could have been this good i would have never stopped when i was a kid. to be honest it brings back a ton of my growing up years. A+++
