Great album. SRV was out of this world. Have you ever seen the Live at the El Mocambo DVD? It's SRV at his best in a small, intimate setting. Fantastic to see and hear.

Yeah. Very underrated guitarist. He left the band after their big label (Mercury) album was a dud. Naturally, the label wanted something different than what the band wanted. He was right up there talent-wise with some of the better white blues guitarists that were making a name for themselves and felt the band was holding him back. They have had a lot of excellent guitarists since.

Was that back in the Thackery days? He's a heck of a player.
