What makes it your dream system?
Is it the look of high end silver face components?
I'm only asking because I see you I have a C1/M2A and I've got the same but hooked up as a C2/M2A and a C1/M2. Spec wise they are pretty well unbeatable and sound sensational.
Cheers
Kudos again to hopjohn for his superb restoration/parts list thread http://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/set-to-restore-a-kenwood-model-500.711239/ and to rjsalvi for good advice. Thanks guys!

I just pulled this baby off the shelf last night. I need to fix the tuner string and service it
while it's on the bench. KR-7050
Not vintage or spectacular looking, but solid and very useable: Kenwood KA-5020. Picked it up cheap because it was missing some knobs. Couldn't find the exact replacements, but did find two replacement knobs that'll do the job and don't look to horrible. It's been in use in one of my systems for months now and I really like it: reliable and with plenty of power.
My KR-9060
Owned since new, roughly 2 hours usage.
To be on the safe side I'm having it looked at just to make sure it's going to stay in Optimum working condition.
Electronics I would imagine a dry out after 40 years.
