Jim, For that price I was seriously thinking about having him drive them up here. So if I gave the guy 3g for them and drive them four hours.
I bet they would be worth every cent. But I just got into a deal with two McIntosh CD players so I better cool it before I go broke. But worth think about I tell ya.

you have a very nice collection and i love the marantz.
Looking good!!
that’s a lot of work!!!
Thanks guys, your comments were very nice. I'm getting another 8 space IKEA unit for the 600 or so in storage boxes in a back room closet. I moved around 150 outliers ( duplicates, soundtracks, classical sand comedy albums) or so to my 4 cube unit and removed everything but rock and jazz from the 8 cube unit. Collating , cleaning and repairing jackets on 100 or so and slotting them in where they belong among all the albums was not really very pleasant, but I'm getting closer to true organization, instead of sitting around bitching about the hideous weather, which I hate.
Yesterday I cleaned out all my PA wire boxes and both mic lockers, and re packed one of the vans. It almost feels like I have a new music life. .....now if I could just restring all the guitars, retune all the amps, and clean up the pedal boards I can have at least two days of contentment.
Tomorrow 18 holes with my usual foursome. 56 degrees and dry.

Yeah, our mod had to go in and clean house. It was pretty ugly in there today. According to the fellow it is a piece of junk, so apparently you have as bad of taste as I do in regards to gear.
I felt that I was very civil in my conduct. After he repeatedly called the unit a piece of junk to two other members, I joined in and actually thanked the guy for enlightening me.
"Thanks for getting me up to speed in regards to my RX-4508. Here all this time I was thinking that it was a very nice sounding and performing receiver. Boy am I dumb and have no taste in sound quality whatsoever.
.So I just unplugged it and took it out to the driveway and drove over it a few times with my pickup truck, then I took a few whacks at it with a sledgehammer, then I poured lighter fluid all over it and threw a lit match on it.
And it still sounds great to me."
