I think he means this to be a "Deep Cuts" thread. Like a song from Uriah Heep and you've never heard it before but it's fantastically cool. There was a community college station around here that did just that. Technically it was "Classic Rock" but it wasn't lame warmed-over crap served up by local morning drive time Howard Stern wannabes.

The Anti-Classic Rock Play List, but it's still Classic Rock. Better title: The Anti-Top 40 Classic Rock Play List (that's typically played on mainstream FM radio.)
I've had luck with "some" FM HD radio stations playing cuts that don't usually get air time. Mostly run by different Universities. Sometimes it's funny, you have younger people that in most cases are clueless to the bands or artists they are playing. Which leads to mispronunciation of many bands and individual's names and even song titles.
