I recently bought a pair of Pioneer SE-505 headsets for myself and a pair of Sennheiser RS 175's for my daughter and son-in-law.
Of course they don't want them and now I gotta sell'em.View attachment 1141245

My daughter and son-in-law have a Mirage sound bar and sub hooked to their "man cave" rec room TV (60" and room enough for cornwalls for chrissakes!) and refuse to let me hook them up with some quality audio. They both love music. I don't understand. It's frustrating!

Until I retire and have time to browse the thrift stores for $10 gems on a regular basis I settle for local CL deals. A few emails/texts and three quick stops later here's my Sunday stack. Decidedly mid-fi but not too shabby at $165 total. I'm curious to compare the Coda's against my 103.2's

Sony AVR w/ remote and Precision Audio mini towers
Sony current model USB TT
Four KEF Coda III in real nice shape. Missing one badge and one tweeter not working

Mine on the other hand I live with, or at least try to. I live upstairs right above the garage where they like to BLAST, and I mean that literally, there TV that they have hooked up through a Onkyo stereo system from 10pm to 2 am and I'm unable to sleep. I've asked them to turn it down a bit and they hand me ear plugs. So I tried to let them know nicely how I felt about that and gifted them the Sennheisers, no luck, they said they couldn't talk to each with them on. I thought, how in tar nation can you talk to each other with it blasting in the first place? (They Yell and yes you can hear it clearly) Anyway, to be completely fair, the noise have subsided as of lately. Maybe they both decided that what they were doing may not have been the best. Oh, and BTW I love my daughter and didn't teach her to be self centered, it was something she picked up along the way I reckon. dash1.gif

LOL Pioneered I didn't notice your emogee until after I posted. That's awesome. On the other end of the spectrum I am the one that blasts my music on occasion. I live in a city apartment and my neighbors are all forewarned and OK with it as long as I am respectful of the time of day I do it. I DO however feel your pain. Since they both love their music I would think either pair of those headphones would be a welcome addition to any system. I still use my Koss set with the 15ft cord my future mother in law gifted to me back in the 70's. BTW don't think of your adult daughter as self centered. You brought her up to be independent and not afraid to express her own opinions and so she does....even at the expense of "dear 'ol Dad". Mine is the same way!

I got a pair of L60T for $40 as well, but missing the woofers. Fortunately I happen to have a pair of the 116H-2 woofers so I’ll be reforming them very soon.

ADS L980 for $80 with one tweeter out. Just popped one in from my spare parts bin since the original tweeters were only used in the L980 and L1590 (unobtanium)! Too bad these L980s were in matte black finish with lots of paint splashes which Zi had to scrub off.

Nice mirror imaged set, those could be series 1 or 2. At the very end they weren't mirror-imaged and built up from cabs on hand. Did they come with grilles?

Latest find - a Yamaha CA-1010 at Value Village for less than $20. One of my best scores of all time, and a keeper for sure. Prior to that, I found a pair of B+W 602 Series 3 for even less.

Ha! I didn't even know they had a series 2. I really like the mirror imaging. Also that means it's a matched set.

(just ran across a couple of your old posts - you were with ADS? Nice to know!!)

Yes, these came with the grilles, in very good shape actually.
