Marantz Gyro Wheel

Hi,
I just upgraded to a Marantz 2252b from a 2238b.
The gyro wheel has some "matter" on it.
Does anyone have any tips for cleaning this.
I was thinking of starting with some Dawn dish detergent on a toothbrush...
Is swapping the gyro wheel out with the wheel from the 2238b an easy project??

Dish soap should work fine. Step up to Simple Green if not. You'll have to restring the tuning system if you swap the gyro wheel, that's the hardest part.

Try isopropyl alcohol on a rag.

Definitely use a toothbrush, with or without warm water and dish soap as you've already thought of.

I can't stand having the grooves on the gyro wheel dirty either.
