What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

He went to PIT in the late 80s, Studied with some heavyweight fusion guys... he use to love to mess around with subdivisions and meter changes to shake me (never could ;) I'm a feel / groove player who can generally own the pulse). I played in a jazz inspired rock band for a bit, and I slummed it on rhythm guitar in his classic / alt rock cover band (we played Long Beach Island to Brigantine summer night clubs) for a bit.

Here are 2 tracks from our original band...

(1/2 way through the second one we drop down to a swing)

He moved to Texas 15 years back or so, still plays regularly (also owns an NJ shore style eatery... cheese steaks, water ice, panini, etc) his boy plays well too and has done some fairly big local shows in whatever the rock/punk/emo/pop the kids are playing today is called.
Thank you James. Good story and the 2 songs I enjoyed. Made me think of Guns N' Roses vocals:thumbsup:You guys were good. Thank very much for sharing

Hi Lou,

I saw your new Speakers, Nice! Bet they sound great!:thumbsup::music:
I am very happy with the purchase. They actually sound a great deal like the little Infinitys. When I play them together the Infinitys are louder of course, but other than that it is hard to tell them apart. The JBLs have more bass thanks to those big woofs, but they pair very well.

Love RSD in concept, but, in reality, not so much. At the same time, when nearly every other day is record store day for some of us, who needs RSD?

I feel the same way. Don’t like the rush, competition, or crowd. My dad is all about it though. I go to spend time with my dad. It is kinda fun hiding in the back of the record store like I did last year. It’s like Black Friday but for records. Ugh!!

Yeh. Too much a feeding frenzy for me.

It has always seemed a little backwards to me. It does little to reward the regular record shop patron.
