I got this from a friend this weekend who threw in 6 sleeveless records, five Prestige fireworks labels and one older Riverside.

For some reason, immediately after seeing this photo the question of.. "If you could choose anyone, dead or alive to have dinner with, who would it be?" popped in my head. I'd kill to have a bourbon with these ladies.
Having been on homeowners association board and pres a few years, no condos and thier politics in my future. Easier to just hire help as homeowner when can't or chose not to work on it. Don't take on someone elses debts, spending, forclosures and liabilities issues.
Eddie Locke once told me that Coleman Hawkins said to him, "Listen to Nelson Riddle's arrangements when he arranges for Nat King Cole, and then listen to his arrangements for Frank Sinatra".
A friend stays at my house every New Year's Eve, and we grill lunch on New Years Day. Been doing this every year since 1979. Some years we had to shovel up to 3' of snow off the deck to get to the grill. To top it off, until the last few years my buddy always wore shorts, no matter what the temperature was. Can't beat that grilled Kielbasa though.
I was streaming the morning Birdflight with Phil Schapp show this morning on WKCR 89.9. He was announcing a special event on Friday at 7-9. I did my usual time and date check to see if it was a pre-recorded show and to my surprise he was live. I know he’s on the tail end of his career, by his own admission, slowing down his pace to let younger folks take over. The special event will be someone from afar, ( didn’t know the name ) coming to the studio to offer commentary on jazz pieces ranging from Louie Armstrong , to ???? ( didnt catch it ). There you have it. A bit long winded but thought it might be of interest in case it hasn’t been covered yet. ( I’m reading this thread in order, and I’m still back on last Saturday. )
