Hey good to see you Brian. Glad you are doing well.
still have my system from army px. superior grade equipment.Excellent. I was the Navy version of you, Lol!
They vary a lot. I've found a few decent classical titles for under $15 shipped. I think I paid over $100 for one rock tape I really wanted. Some good rock tapes can be had in the 25-40 range. If you want Abbey Road or other highly sought after titles, you might need to lay out several hundred. I don't plan to go there. It is enjoyable to pick up something I want at a good price, which happens more often than expected. It helps if you like stuff that was not wildly popular, like this Quarterflash. What does a reel tape go for these days. Old days a bit more than the LP.
doc tried to get to it last thurs and failed. spent fri in agony. that's why i had the super pain killer buzz last night. get to play the game again next week...How are the stones? Are they still there or passed?
Thanks Rob. I knew the mid bass drivers wouldn't rattle because I used a 30HZ cd as I glued them up. After a couple hours I just had to play'em. All's good and now their turned off till tomorrow. .......to be continued. Those look great! Fantastic job
Good Nite RobGood night All. Catch you tomorrow!!!

Good night All. Catch you tomorrow!!!
r2r stuff i normally find is jim nabors, country, perry como, etc. most rock is amateur home recordings - although some stuff did show up on cl last week for several hundred. i thought it was overpriced; however, someone else thought otherwise. That Quarterflash is awesome!! Never seen it on reel to reel.
Anyone have knowledge/opinion of this? My buddy who has incredible vintage Marantz gear is considering this.

When were you at Mather?Yea that was it. One bad boy and great for party night.
4 901's hung in the corners, a TEAC R2R and a monster Nitto amp I've never seen the likes of again.
Okinawa PX purchases.
Needed it all to drown out the sound of B-52 touch and go's at the end of Mather AFB in Sac.
If he needs to clear some space, I'd be willing to adopt that Marantz gear of his.Anyone have knowledge/opinion of this? My buddy who has incredible vintage Marantz gear is considering this.
