A man walks out on his front porch one day and sees a gorilla in the tree on his front lawn.

He calls animal control and about an hour later a man shows up with a ladder, a pit bull, and a shotgun.

The animal control employee tells the man: “I’m here to get the gorilla out of your tree.

I’m going to use this ladder to climb up the tree and shake the branch the gorilla is on to knock him to the ground.

The pit bull is trained to go after anything that falls from the tree and bites their balls which calms the animal down so I can put him in the truck.”

The man says “Okay, I see what the ladder and the pit bull are for but what is the shotgun for?”

The animal control employee says: “Oh, that’s for you. In case I fall out of the tree instead of the gorilla, shoot the dog.”

Driving my car a couple of weeks ago, I felt the telltale signs of either a bad coil pack or bad plug wire-missing and jerking hard at around 50-55mph. I got it home, popped the hood, and didn't find any bad plug wires. I've had problems in the past with rabbits eating plug wires. I figured in reason it was the coil pack. My mechanic had just replaced it, and that was actually a replacement for one from a few months ago, so it was covered under warranty. I'm just quite self-assured that this new pack has went bad, so I decide to do like my mechanic and pull the plug wire loose from the coil pack. Wrong!!! Talk about a shocking experience!!!

So I took it to the shop yesterday. It was the only coil pack I hadn't replaced since buying the car 3 years ago (it has 3 coil packs, dang Buick!). As most of y'all know, I'm out of work, not able to work due to the hit and run in February, and I've signed up to get my disability started. I've known my mechanic since I was a kid. Nobody else ever touches my vehicles with the exception that his brother did some work for me when I was a teenager. Before that, my parents used his dad for years, so he's kind of like family anyway. He put the coil pack on and told me not to worry about paying him until I got my disability started. That, folks, makes you feel good and puts a smile on your face!
