Show Me Your Sansui!

I drove two hours round-trip to get the AU-555 for a very reasonable price. I had wanted one for about a year, since I already had the TU-555. The amp is really dirty, inside and out, but so far both AUX ports work, and no scratch in the volume pot. Also, it took a full six seconds for the caps to drain off after I powered it down. The radio sounded phenomenal, but I either need a better antenna, or the red "FM STEREO" light is out. I find it interesting that there are separate tone controls for each channel and no tuner label on the selector in this early solid state amp. Everyone else here is asleep, so I couldn't turn up my Realistic Minimus 7W's on the test bench. This is why I love this hobby - these little components are where design and quality engineering come together beautifully.
