I guess is am an old vintage guy, and decided to set up a listening area the basement and put some of my "old" equipment back into operation, and listen to some of my 40 year old LP's. Kind of glad that I held on to things I used 30-years ago, and hopefully the electronics won't need a lot of restoration.

Once you determine that all's well with your gear (didn't say what it is), unless you have a nice finished basement, the living room may work out better!
Welcome, dig in & learn!:bigok:

Welcome to AK!
Keep your eyes open for one of the Semi-Annual DC-MD-VA AK get togethers that happen up your way each year. Next one will be in the Fall.

Thanks. How do I find out about the get together meets?

Currently in the basement I have:
Harmond Kardon Citation 17 PreAmp,
Sony TA-E2000ESD preamp,
Sony 550-ES Tuner,
Heathkit AA-1800 power amp,
small Pioneer SA-7700 integrated amplifier
pair of large RTR 280-DR speakers
pair of small book-shelf size speakers
an Optonica turntable RP-7100 turntable

. Since these have had minimal use for the past few years, some restoration will keep me busy for a bit.

Well you passed the first test..... you have some really great gear.....

But as was mentioned it will be listed in the Events and Happenings forum. There is a good number of AK members in No Va. so you may even be able to carpool with someone.

I would love to hear those RTR's!
