Today's Blues Playlist

Local blues giants from the 70's. The cool kids would sneak into their shows under-age at the colleges nearby. Easily my first exposure to live blues/rock. :)

I've got that one on vinyl! It's a good one.

I've seen Thackery live a few times. Highly recommended for anyone who likes their blues guitar on the loud, Hendrix influenced side of things.
I got to see a (really) young Johnny Lang jam with him one night in the mid 90s.

Some master of the telecaster. Going to Dallas/FTW next week. Looking forward to some hot weather and HOT blues.

B.B. King - Singin' The Blues (2005 reissue)
Big Bad Smitty - Mean Disposition
Rick Holmstrom - Hydraulic Groove
Buddy Guy - The Blues Is Alive And Well

I should mention that the first three were previous plays, but the Buddy is a 1st time play.
And with an oddball setup. I'm in the process of painting the west side of my house(which includes some window repair), and I'll be using the little used office system over there with the window open.; an old GW find Rotel CD player into a Kenwood KR3090 driving a pair of PSB Alphas.
I hope it still all works, it's been awhile!
