These are huge and heavy. The 700 with 12" and 30" woofer the Pat4 with 18" with t350 t25 and two middrivers
These particular Patrician IVs were made in 50s and Patrician 700 im guessing late 50s early 60s.
Got the best of both worlds no need for subs when using these.
Not sure if should sell or keep.

These sell for Tannoy black or Hartsfield prices

Great find.

I have a IV and a 700 too. Thought about getting rid of them, but I have the space and they’re just special pieces, so I’m keeping them.

Does the 30” have a cloth surround, and is the T250 functional?

Dont they come up on ebay sometime?
Probably none affordable..If you got them cheap you did REAL good.To be quite frank.these are once in a lifetime speakers on two conditions.1.These speakers are 50-60 years old. They will need some work.2.Will they work in your listening space. These are very large speakers meant for large listening spaces to use optimally.

Couple of questions. What’s the back story on your fabulous find and second can we see some inside pics, particularly of the 30” woofer? I’m glad to know these are still to be found in the wild but I’m supposing about as common as unicorns.

What are the odds of that? One in a quadrillion? First, you both need to buy lottery tickets. Second, you need to get together and do some trading so that you each have a matched set. That's just CRAZY!

Keep in mind that these are very efficient and don't need a lot of power. I think the IV is rated for like 25 watts. You don't really want to hook them up to something with a lot of power and then try to blow the doors off your house. The 700 especially has parts that would be extremely difficult to replace. You can find quite a bit of information on the IV, including on the EV website, but not too much about the 700. You probably do need to check and see if the 30" has a foam surround. Hopefully not.

Yep, that's kinda nuts.

I dug out an old EV brochure listing everything EV offered in the early 60’s, I hope these come out well enough to read. My scanner only has a document feeder.

The crossover capacitors are shot and will make the sound muddy and distorted.

The Electro-Voice crossovers are unfortunately potted in tar. Those may be heated on a hot plate—do this outside!—and decanted. The air-core inductors are fine and should be retained.

Like all tweeters of that vintage, the T35 has poor performance above 9k Hz to 10k Hz, and benefits from a Zobel to tame the rise in impedance. Replacing it with a soft dome, perhaps at 10k Hz, is a good option.

The odds of ever finding those again are exponentially smaller than the odds of your finding them in the first place. I'd expect water to have a greater likelihood of running uphill.

I think those have the T350 tweeters in them, which are a significant upgrade to the T35 (and most other tweeters in general)
