Agree. I've always wanted a copy. Several months ago, I noticed a $25 newly reissued heavyvinylandallthat copy pop up in the new bins. I just couldn't bring myself to crack the wallet open for it. And then today the first thing I saw when I walked into the store was this great clean old copy.
It completes what I think of as a trilogy of great 70s soul sound tracks, with Superfly by Curtis Mayfield and Coffy by Roy Ayers.
Oddly enough, I've never seen the movies.
I prefer the original copy over these new reissues. I did see "Shaft" a number of times. I don't remember if I seen "Superfly" before. Definitely didn't see "Coffy".
