Calling All Yamahas. Time to Post Your Pics

Yeah, I have a Technics that is, objectively speaking, just better than this one, with an adjustable counterweight and anti-skate, adjustable pitch and strobe. I like being able to visually verify that the speed is correct because I can't always trust my ears.

There are a couple of phone apps that can (sort of) accurately measure the speed of your motor. I use Turntabulator on my iPhone and there are also apps for Android phones.

Yamaha acoustic guitars are the best bang for the SQ buck, imo.

Have a new victim on its way. This is going to be fun...

***UPDATE***

Victim arrived today! Yea! oh wait... BOOOOO. :( FedEx dropped the unit on it's back and broke all the speaker terminals! Oh well... speaker-terminal.com is sending me a new set.

Concerning initial eval, very little damage from original DSBG so the cleanup should be a breeze. Parts are on the way from Mouser and will arrive tomorrow. This unit has very few hours on it. Now comes cleanup, recap and testing...

My Yamaha CA 810's and a CT 810, I thought I lost one channel on my original one I've had for nearly 30 years so I found another one local and found the same channel was out. Ended up being an unplugged cable on my 1229 so now I have 2. I drive my Ampex with one and my KSA's with the other, I like the fact I can individually control the sound and level of each pair of speakers to suite my listening.20180713_192954~2.jpg
