New cd player

Hey guys I’m thinking about getting one of the Emotiva cd players. I’ve read all the motor noise issues with the erc-3, I sit pretty far away from my gear about 13ft. So I thinking the noise won’t be a issue. But all the stuff I read on it is a few years old when the player was 400$, now it’s 600$. Anyone think thats still a good price for it?
The other one I’m thinking it their cd-100. Not a whole lot of information on that one out there. Anyone has a comparisons between the 2. That one is 300$.

You should really investigate the Onkyo C-7030 because of the quality sound, the recorded formats it will play and the fact that it costs new less than two hundred dollars.

I concur. I have 3 C-7030s, and they are excellent players.

Doing some research on the 7030 looks like at some point they changed to dac. Not sure how much it changed to the sound. That price on the marantz is a pretty good deal

Agree. The other CD player I'd recommend is Yamaha S-300.

Well I ordered the emotiva erc-3. I figured no matter what I got I’d always be wondering how the erc-3 was. If I don’t like it I’ll return it and look at the marantz next.

Got the erc-3 today. Have been playing it for about 3 hrs. Initial impressions are this thing sounds really good. So far it’s dead quiet no motor noise.
