To date have only tried to get into two tunes "Everybody...", and "Shout". The rest, I never paid much attention to until today.
What got me into this band this day was... while attending a Blues Festival" last night, one band must have run outta blues material and did the big TFF's hit of the 80's, "Everybody's...Rule". For just the three players on stage they did a decent job of it, with some tricky guitar licks from the lead. Frankly, I thought it was brave of them to do this number, as the audience was expecting some get down blues tunes. But, the crowd really seemed to like this song as shown by the reaction when they finished.
Anyways, tried to look up some stuff on this band on AK, but could find little in the way of what AK'ers thought of this English group who did hit #'1 in more than one country. So decided to see what others thought/think of these performers. Some of their stuff has shades of "Beatles" in them, and the harmony is quite good. A soft rock sound that must have appealed to many at the time.
So...anyone ever get into this group for reasons, or not?
Curious.
