The Recorded LIVE Playlist

Here's an interesting tidbid, continuing on the ambient side of things.
This is actually being performed in my town this weekend. David Bowie's Blackstar, performed by the Ambient Orchestra, with Maya Beiser on cello as Bowie's "voice."
I don't know too much about it, but here's a clip from another show. Seems pretty interesting.

Who all be involved in this group project, or is this the name of a band, rather than a collection of, um, acoustic all-star players?
The best Bluegrass has to offer:Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck, Sam Bush, Tony Rice, Mark O'Connor, and a bass player (Schatt?)

Lohengrin
(Wagner, 1850)

This recording:
Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
Vienna State Opera Chorus

Director: Rudolf Kempe
Principals: Thomas, Grummer, Ludwig, Fischer-Dieskau, Frick, Weiner

(EMI, 1963)

Who'd "Ginge" get to play with him? Did he have to bring them to the theater @ gunpoint? Lol
Two greats: Bill Frisell and Charlie Haden. The recording is excellent, the performance is good to my ears, but probably @KrisM could tell us if it’s good Jazz.
