Goodaye all

Here's pic of one of my AU505 and TU505 setups.

This one is in my study connected to restored Marantz 920's speakers.
A second AU505 sits in the family room for music duties, connected to restored KEF Concertos.
A Third AU505 and TU505 sits in my garage connected to 4 TDL compact speakers, acoustics change depending on how many cars are in there at the time, but this unit never disapoints.
Got a AU101 sitting in the bedroom also, connected to some TDL's once again.
All have been capped and modified, l find them a great amp.

But l do have a a AU717 sitting here waiting for restoration, needs a volume control few knobs and a heap of work.
Yes l do have a NOS volume control coming.

l came from the digital world and had not really picked up a soldering iron for 20 years, slowing getting the hang of analouge.

regards Bruce

Just picked up an SR-838 that unfortunately suffered some damage to the cover. Other than that, it's beautiful.
Here it is with my AU-919 and TU-717.

SR-838 covers are for sale 'sometimes' on eBay USA. I have seen them for sale in the past. Maybe the SR-636 cover fits too??? Investigate the size or ask the AK Sansui guys if the SR-636 is the same exact size. If so... also check: eBay Germany, eBay England, & eBay Italy too to save time.

Good luck!

Looks outstanding. Super nice stack!! :music:

Sansui AU-5900 and TU-5900.
I just got these back from the local tech(mattsd) and am loving the way they sound on my KLH Model Six speakers.
This is the living room system now. I connected it to the TV and removed the surround sound system. This sounds MUCH better. Even the wife thinks so!

Despite accompanying AK some time only now that I made my registration.
And as a passionate for Sansui I'm already in my third integrated of the brand, I already had an AU-D7 and an AU-D9.
Currently I have 2 years ago this spectacular AU-D11II, as you can see by the images is very conserved is all original internally.

Welcome to the AK community :) The D11II is a beauty! Enjoy...

Here's my recently acquired 661. I intercepted it from the Salvation Army donation area last week when I was making a donation. It was filthy with cigarette tar, 2 dial lights were out, and it had a significant hum on all inputs with no volume.

I cleaned it all up, replaced some lamps, reflowed a couple cold solder joints, removed a partially melted 45 record adapter from one of the emitter resistors, another emitter resistor was melted to the connector to the driver board so I freed it up and gently bent it away from the connector.

Finally, I removed the driver board and cleaned up the contacts and reseated it. This took care of the hum. I must say I'm impressed at the sound coming from this little 20 watter, it sounds great with plenty of bass and clarity.

The x901 gets the most of my time. Looking for a ampselector (opposite of a speaker selector) ...
Love the 3! Same, same but different.

Oh and recently picked up some lm220, quite good.
And not dissimilar to jbl L36 or L40, the tweeter is more open though, but not beaming
