WTF....its Friday!
I’ll be readySoon be time to start this year’s Handel’s Messiah on Christmas Day (note use of Christmas rather than Xmas; it’s only a few extra keystrokes) thread, so break out the SpinClean and prepare whatever you have. Maybe we can include versions of Weinachtsoratorium this year in the same thread? Thoughts?
When is that?Looks like I have more music waiting for me when I get home. 5 CDs worth of Ofra Harnoy Plays Vivaldi.
Sure remember that tune^^YouTube prefetch algorithms (or autoplay) must be pulling from a database of the current hits of whatever era. Too spot on. Like I'm listening to AM radio back in '78^^
^^Oh wait, but then they switch it up and throw a nice curveball like this^^
Well said, Jason.I think in all things music equipment wise it's very important to find a likable reference baseline set up and work around it. Changing out components without preserving the baseline as you go leads to confusion and many times grief and buyers remorse. In other words just the speakers, or just the cartridge etc. etc..
all this assumes you have a rig you basically love already but would like to sensibly upgrade.
Great earlier comments about actually maybe not enjoying the music itself as much as you think you do. Some threads here mention gear only ever. Some threads address music only. I think here we have the ideal balance, music lovers that also have a great interest in solid but sensible gear regardless of cost or age, but in general we prefer a quality pedigree.
This thread gets it right.
All Hail Sir Blitz n tribeNow, how were you able to sneak her past the Mrs., Lord John?
