Gear rack/stands

No WAF here, so dominating living room roll around A/V rack since 1995 !!
Old 2010 pic from massive A/V rework !!
Some equipment removed, and some added during upgrade/update..
I haven`t changed a lot currently, but more "stuff" is on the top !!
Forgive, if posted earlier presented on this thread..

As you folks can, and do for your situation..

Kind regards, Billy Ferris

Just a cheap end table but with the bottom crosspiece removed a sub fit's underneath. The drawer holds everything from tubes to sound meters.
Uh oh ... I have an old computer table just about that wide?? Open at the bottom and it has a keyboard slide, but it is a table and I have a sub on the floor???

Maybe that table won't go to the curb! :)

I may be old school but where I come from one can NEVER post too many pics of their gear ,for me gear porn makes every thread better .

Edit ,I love the 30s ,I'm currently running dual XRT-22s in one system and XRT-28s in a 2 channel rig ,I see your EQ's and became curious as to what model they are & what software the eq's use ,I have 2 DBX-20/20 EQ's from the 90s with Microphone calibrated room correction software and love them so I was looking to see how you like your EQ's and what they are capable of ,thanks ,Levi .

Ok Levi, those main L/R manual IMG_0176.JPG analog active EQ`s are HQ White Instruments 4660`s left over from before I purchased my Integra DHC 40.2 A/V/P with it`s internal room correction.

All 7 channels of that A/V system had their own 1/3rd octave EQ, and each channel was/had been very carefully voiced/tuned using my IVEY IE- 30 A Class 1 RTA, after time aligning the XRT- 30`s with the digital xovers(now refereed as loudspeaker management)..
Old School time consuming method !!
No software, all manually done with hours of Pink Noise at whatever SPL calibration was required by Dolby(85 DB seems to ring a bell) in 2003 when I purchased the XRT-30`sLivingroom02-91.jpg Livingroom07-92.jpg ..

Here is a pic of my sides and rears channel amp/eq rack with their dual channel 1/3 octave Yamaha Pro Q 2031 EQ`s
I started getting into this A/V HT back in the early nineties.

Thanks for your interest Levi, Sir.

Very nice ,the 22s have to be a match made in heaven with the 30s ,I'm pretty sure if I could only keep 1 speaker system it would be the 22s ,I loved the 22s with my former XR-290s and they are an even better match for the XRT-28s I replaced the 290s with , your old school method using pink noise is still my method in the 5 channel rig & your right about time consuming as hell ,have you ever attempted to voice match 2 pair of fronts using any of your line arrays with a traditional 3 way design speaker system for sound reinforcement ? While my 2 channel room is being built I've been experimenting running the 28s on the main from my preamp and McIntosh LS-350s on amp 1 also as fronts ,it started from me liking both speakers so much I set them up to be ran separately as fronts ,while adjusting toe in I began experimenting running both pair using the smaller 350s ear level tweet & mid to reinforce the severe loss of high end when seated the 28s are prone to ,using my EQs auto correct function throws everything out of whack so I'm doing it all with the McIntosh AA2 and the DBX in manual mode ,I was wondering if you'd gone that route before & what your outcome was ,super nice gear btw,I'm a big fan of those crowns .

Levi, the 22`s have been gone since early 2004 after the 30`s were purchased, as there would not be enough room in my living room for both sets of speakers.
And as much as I loved the 22`s and wished to keep them, and I even considered using them in my master bedroom, after removing the XRT-18`s that are in there, there just wasn`t enough room for them physically.

When I was employed back in 78~80 as a 6 night a week FOH soundman for a band in South Miami FL. we combined my equipment and theirs. No line arrays, per say.

It was a cobbled together bi-amp 3 way speaker system, but I managed to get it to sound very good with very good high freq. dispersion with (4) 6 horn units(2 per side splayed) and of course, I RTA 1/3 octave voiced/smoothed it at each of the 3 Big Daddy`s club circuit the band rotated through every 3 months.
I even bi-amped(2 Crown D-150`s, and 2 DC300`s) the 4 floor monitors, also 1/3 octave voiced, but with a Shure SM 58 as my RTA measurement mic, since that was my selected vocal mic choice and made my EQ smoothing curve easier to obtain max gain before feedback and still sound good to the musicians.
I was told that the PA sounded like a very clean 3,300 watt big ass stereo.

I had a lot of fun those 2 years, mixing from 10 PM until 3, or 4 AM, 6 nights a week, in my mid twenties and being paid $350.00 cash a wk. for doing it !! :bigok:

This is what I want, but it is too far away, and I can't afford it right now anyway. Will have to find one down the road sometime.

Ok. I am getting it. Or trying to. Offer made.

Ok, offer accepted. The deal was made in Denmark, on a dark and stormy day!

(Gratuitous Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner (Zevon) reference).
