These pics are when he was showing VdH cartridges and Acoustic Plan phono pre amps (see on the shelf under the Versalex) at CES with John DeVore and his fabulous new Gibbon X's.

A pic of the same friends Amadeus GTA as it was waiting it's turn while we gave the Artemis Labs table with Schroeder arm a good go. We compared the 2 of them that night with a variety of phono pre amps.

The Artemis Labs table...look at that Schroeder arm!

Cool pics - I hope you will be sharing more about the preamps you tried out in another thread, too!

That was a couple of years ago and I did share. I think it was in the turntable section and of course the phono pre amps being new and not inexpensive meant that the thread disappeared in to oblivion.

I'm trying to remember the phono amps we used...

Oh yeah, we listened to a Clearaudio Nano, Heed Quasar, Roksan Reference and Art Audio Vinyl Reference. We also had my Clearaudio Concept connected for a few minutes.

The amplifiers were Mastersound.

I don't have a pic of the fabulous SET amp that we were using that night but here is a pic of a more modestly priced Mastersound amp that Dale brought to my house when he brought up the Concept.

That is some sweet equipment there! I have gently used Clearaudio Nano coming so that I can hook up my Rega P25 for the first time next week. I can't wait - I'll go see if I can find your thoughts on it in the old threads, Art.

I wish i had some of those friends of yours Art. Very interesting thread and beautiful pics. Send more :)

Here are some oldies (I originally posted them when I first bought the table), but I thought they'd feel at home here:

Here's mine. I think its a "Well Tempered Super" but I don't really understand what separates the different older models. It's basically just made me want a Well Tempered Amadeus (as did hearing a Well Tempered Amadeus).

One of these days I'm going to build myself that arm. There is nothing to it. The most expensive part will be machining the cup for the golf ball. I love it. And it still blows my mind to see it on such an expensive/ well respected table.

I forget, was it Dave or John that predicted this post.

You really want to be blown away, go and listen to one. IMO it kills any table at or near it's price. Some tables and arms do this or that better but none combine the strengths with few if any weaknesses that the Well Tempered tables and arms do.
