I have one in my email from skibjr if you want.
I am deep into re-capping a SX-1280 and am currently on the Power Supply, AWR-157. I see some discrepancies between the schematic I have and the board components. On my power supply, there is no capacitor in C24 and judging by the nice, never soldered copper of one of the through hole pads, there never was a cap in this position. the schematic calls for a 10uF cap in this location. In addition, the measured value of R21 is 2K ohms (measured in the board) while the schematic calls for a 3.9K resistor in this position.
Thank you to all that contribute to this forum for getting me this far. Any help on these specific items would be greatly appreciated.
best guess, someone put a short across the relay contacts, C to NO terminals, if so it would be a stupid thing to do and should be fixed. take a good look at the relay wiring. Weird that you get the relay click, if the relay contacts are welded together.Does anyone know why my 1280 goes right to music when i turn it on? It clicks but it's already putting out sound???
Sure you can, the 1250 uses 22000uF/80V , could even go a bit higher, they cost reduced on the 1280, you can increase the voltage as well, no need to go over 100V. test the ecaps, might be just fine and do not need replacing.I also did not see the large filter caps, I believe the originals are 15000uf, can they be 18000???
