Oh boy an anomaly. A 30000 series, with the 3 IF tube tuner, and AX Transformers!!
9264388 breaks down to TODD Electric Co. Yonkers N.Y. date 38th week of 64. Middle Sept.
Here's Ricky's original post from the 400 thread in the tube forum.
Hi larry, I'm new to forum and noticed your post. I have a Fisher 400 ser# 37798, output trans #'s T 1020 116 1AX and T 1020 116 2AX. 9264388 on both. I'm no sure which tubes to count. It looks like a total of 5. 2 right behind tuning cap, one just to the left of tuning cap, and v4 and v5 in line to the left of tuning cap. V6 is the tuning beam. does this make it a 5 tube rf section? Hope this helps
Couple of questions for you RICKY W.
How long have you had the 400?
Do you know it's History (Owner/Repair)
Has it been rehabbed or "restored".
Can you take a couple of pictures of the unit (inside and out.) concentrate on the output section with the output tube sockets and the trfrmr wiring showing?
Something in me is wavering on this being factory original. It's a whole 10000 units before the 48001 manual which is used as the cutoff between early and late. Could be one of 2 or 3 possibilities;
1.) This is a FACTORY UNIT (Virgin inside) as built. Which could possibly throw out the baby with the bath.
2.) The Transformers are replacements either from a shop, or someone replaced them in the past. Whether they changed the NFB circuit to accomodate the new transformers is anyone's guess.
