Nice collection you have there!!OK I'm back in town so here's my pics. Just got this fairly recently and these pics represent the condition
when I picked it up. Friday it goes to the tech for a good thorough cleaning, check up and any adjustments/service
is necessary to bring it back to spec and provide reliability. It does have metal vents.
Also sticking in a couple shots of my 2 other big boys. Mostly because I couldn't resist.
The count is increasingStill running serial # 2676.......bought it back around 1979 in Philadelphia and was my first piece of Yamaha Audio Equipment.
Looks more like Macassar ebony like the NS-1000's.Rosewood cabinet. Bringing it back to life after a good deoxit douce, use "Genuine Old English Scratch Cover." Had it forever, so hope you can still get it. I have 8 oz liquid.
Worked fine for me. Rosewood is dark. Try a small area out of sight. Then decide.Looks more like Macassar ebony like the NS-1000's.
