Don't most people have the ability to rip CD to a file? I would assume most folks own a Laptop or Desktop PC .. but maybe they don't anymore. :dunno:

If memory serves me well :cool: .. Back in the day .. late 70's for me .. don't remember folks thinking of their stereo system as a hobby. At some point .. that all changed IMHO. By the time I got back into Vinyl after a long hiatus (2000) .. I know I started to think of my stereo rig as a hobby.

Something that most people don't know is that David Soul injured his spine during the making of the pilot episode of Starky & Hutch. It's the scene where he jumps on the hood of a car. He suffered from that injury for the rest of his life.

Movies usually run about 90 - 120 minutes ... which is usually not enough time to have "long term" affect on me. TV series or mini-series in another story. They run long enough (time & content wise) to have a lasting affect on me. Kung Fu TV series (1972-1975) had a long term affect on me ...

David Soul the actor best known for his role as "Hutch" in Starsky & Hutch TV series 1975 - 1979 and for his lead role in Salem's Lot TV mini-series (1979) based on Stephen King's novel.. has passed at 80 on Jan 4, 2024. I really liked Salem's Lot.

IME & IMHO .. it's all about the system. Nothing is more important than anything else .. the biggest impact on sound can be found in the weakest link in the chain .. "at the time" .. usually discovered in hind-site.
