  • I'm now running a Pioneer VSX-D1S. Not as boomy, but definately clearer. I also put Kicker subs in place of the C-V 12"s.
    Tweaking the CV's or the onkyo? to make the CV's better stuff them. Go get the cheapest pillows you can find (3 dollar walmart pillows) and take the stuffing out. Stuff the speakers with this material. I have LS-12's and used 1.5 per speaker. I also plugged a port. As for the onkyo, it all depends on what you like listening to..

    this would probably be easier done on your thread. you can try either. And you will know which sounds better. Leave lots of space around your speakers...ive had mine way into the room and they exhibited the best bass i heard from them.
    Im not quite exactly sure...Ive thought that they look similar to the D series. Like a D9 with out the dual mids...but ive been wrong before...fact that they were sold only in PX's furthers the mistery.
