I hear you there. I did notice a difference when I went balanced on the erc. I bought the cables from guitar center cause emotiva was sold out. they have 15 different choices to choose from and I think if there good enough for musicians why wouldn't the be for audiophiles.

Currently I'm using outdated RCA cables for the Emo equipment. The 3 miter Emo speaker wires were on back order. So I wanted to order those and the balanced cables all at once. I'll probably order them this week. I can get back at you with my findings though. There was a big change in the sound of the system when I replaced the older Harman/Kardon AVR and HK CD player. It was and still is quite remarkable to say the least.
