I have completely recap'd my A-1 with BHC slit foils (2x22.000 microfarad) for the power supply and ELNA Cerafine for the rest.=QUOTE ]

      G'day Sir,
My A1 only has 18000uF caps, did you also have 18000uF caps as original?
Can this amp handle the extra 4000uF without causing any damage.
Does the extra capacity affect the sound quality.
Also can you confirm to me which series of BHC slits you used.
I am looking at the BHC ALS30/31 series 22000uF 63v version. Not as good as the ALS20 series, but I think it will be good enough, don't you think.

I also probably am thinking of replacing all the resistors, diodes and transistors while I am at it, do you think this is worthwile doing, or not required.
I also hear that this amplifier has a specific part that cannot be replaced if it becomes faulty,is this true?
Do you know of this part?
I thank you for your time and apologise for the many questions.
