I am very late in responding. A childhood kindergarten friend had a set of stacking men but I did not know they were called Bill Dings. I always liked the silly grin on their faces and we had lots of fun trying to stack them different ways.
I ran into a picture of them somewhere on the internet and down loaded a picture. I also liked the name of Bill Ding being a play on words. I scaled it out and made a pattern and made a set om my old 1946 18 inch Craftsman Jigsaw. I hand painted them.
I thought the grand kids would have fun with them. I have since bought a couple of sets for my two sets of grand kids but they still like playing with my homemade set at my house. I have 7 grand kids, ages 10 mons to 9 years.
