    How does hertz effect sound?

I do know that the Palmer turntable from the UK runs at 60Hz as it produces less noise on its particular motor. Its power supply produces 60 Hz even in 50Hz territories.

Pioneer PL570 Bearing noise? How to Access?

Can you hear the noise whet the cart is NOT touching the record and you put your ear really close? Could the noise be coming from somewhere else, cart bottoming out perhaps?

Pioneer PL570 Bearing noise? How to Access?

When I first did mine, I used oil but over time it leaked out and was rather difficult to clean up. It will run fast until the motor has settled down to the correct height. Do not run the motor without the platter on or it will "seek" back and forth.

    AR XA arm lift unit

Anyone have an idea of the value of this arm lifter? It came with an AR XA U model turntable but was removed by the previous owner who then filled the hole. I have another AR XA U that still has the lifter in place. Thanks. Jack P
