I'd give it a good cleaning with a strong, alcohol based, cleaner before replacing. However, I highly recommend a Q Up and a Dustbug for that table

There are 2 thrift stores in town. One charges $.99 per album. The large store, America's Thrift or something, is $5 per record

No idea what his stock is now but there's a store in Flint called Pete Flanders Musical Memories. I haven't been there since last June but he usually has tables for sale. I've bought a couple from him, and a ton of records, over the past 2 or 3 years. It might be worth checking into

I'm running mine at 2g on my SL-1700 and couldn't be happier

First spin for this. I've heard how great the stereo version is (especially the Hör Zu pressings). I was ready to take it back off part way through the first track. I'm used to my mono copy. I'm giving it a chance though.
