dealer,the ss-g7 is powered by tubeamp

I just bought some Sony G7a's here in Australia they sound sublime with my TA-N7B amp & TA-E88 pre - which version do you have? I know Sony released an exclusive German only version the G7S - have needed to do any maintenance on your speakers or upgrades?
I'm thinking of placing mine on low wooden stands possibly.
