  • Wow, sorry. I have not been on in a while and have just seen your message...I would simply use them as is. Try not to really put the power to them and they should be fine. However, a lot of Normans had the foam surround woofer if so the foam will rot over time and they should not be played if it is rotted around the woofer edge. The foam surround does not cost much and would make a nice project for a day. Under no circumstance would I trash these speakers. The reasons for this are innumerable. They are a piece of American history that is now all but forgotten. The build quality alone should be evidence of this. Please do not allow them to be junked, the only possible issues (in most cases) that you may run into would be a re foam job and a few crossover capacitors.
