The tray problem in your Philips CD-80 should be easy to fix. A "pro" could ask $100 for the fix, but you may try to do it yourself. Open the case (torx 10 screwdriver) and try to spot a plastic lever activating limit switch when tray is in fully open position. This is the switch that needs a drop of Deoxit contact cleaner.
