Bought the 1973 HiFi Yearbook (in 1973!) to see what it was all about.

Started off with used Leak Stereo 70 amplifier and Celestion Ditton 66 speakers, and new Philips GA212 turntable. Later bought an Armstrong 624 FM tuner, which I still have (needs slight repair).

Updated in 1980 with - and still running - a Sansui AU-919 amplifier, Trio KD-500 turntable, Signet MK111E cartridge, and Spendor BC1 speakers. Also have a NAD 5420 CD player.

Retired just after my 58th birthday in 2001 and still enjoying it. I'm living on a very reduced pension, but the stress would probably have killed me by now if I'd stayed in the job!
