double tape is what i was thinking also .
c45 46 look like decoupling to me if i am looking at it correctly . if they were being like resistors in any way it would be like a vol control...
can you take some high res pics and post if poss please ? both sides of the board . it might jog a memory or show something you missed .
yes was thinking inherent in original design . if someone appears and says that they had one from new without this issue i would be looking at it...

i think you have the answer here . answer for a fix is also in this thread . speaker on delay add on circuit . otherwise known as speaker protect...
i would expect things to be other way round . like real bad sound with 2.1v offset
on another note i would expect the protect relay not closing...
did you disconnect speaker out wires before they go into the broken switch ? and did you check emitter resistors resistance yet ?

it could just be me like i said . its far from easy with a laptop looking at schematics.
check replacement pin outs with your meter .
polarity is switched . must be user error . unless i am seeing it wrong . have only got laptop at moment and it not easy
am not understanding why all base voltages are high . i would have expected differences in bad channel . but looking at base voltages its not...
